Hawaii jewelry designer Deanna Kiersz began making jewelry in her jungle home in Maui in the 1980s. She soon passed along her love of jewelry making to her daughter Danielle who was always alongside of her crafting.
Danielle later found inspiration in her travels to Tahiti and began sourcing the most seductive Tahitian pearls. Thus, their Tahitian pearl and leather jewelry label Ella May was born. They named their Jewelry label Ella May because ever since Danielle was a baby Deanna nicknamed her Ella May.
