Our Story
From the founder
"Noho 'Ana started [as a result of] seeing the impacts of the short-term fashion industry and how everything is made for instant gratification but degrades quickly.
Noho 'Ana means "Way of Life" in Hawaiian. I've wanted to really delve into my Hawaiian roots and put it forth to the rest of the world. I feel we should all be doing our part to protect the land we live, eat, walk & play on. We must remember that nothing is forever and we must do whatever we can to keep our Mother Earth & Father Sky alive, this includes every living creature in between.
My new venture, Noho 'Ana, [is meant] to be an example to the rest of the world of the "way of life" we should all be living to malama the 'aina we reside on. Noho 'Ana is a Made on Maui business! Throughout the production process, we strive to source from local businesses here in Hawai'i & within the USA as much as possible to ensure the quality we want not only for friends or 'ohana (family) but consumers as well. Other than quality, we also give attention to the amount of chemicals used for printing. This is why we hand-stamp / block print our designs & utilize water-based, eco-conscious or low impact inks!"
