Our Story
Maui-based artist, Taylor Binda makes bright abstract paintings & stunning natural dyed textiles. the artist’s work has been shown at Schaefer international gallery, Hui No’eau Visual Arts Center, and is included in private collections from San Francisco to Cape Cod & abroad.
In 2019, Binda led an all-women art crew to create a sculptural installation as an homage to Yayoi Kusama for the Hui No'eau's art affair fundraiser. Later that year for Hui Holidays, Binda was commissioned to make their annual paper dress - creating a thoughtful & sustainable seed paper gown. For the love of flowers, she has been exploring the art & history of natural dyes. Using locally grown & foraged flora and food compost to create color. Lately, Taylor is exploring the use of natural color in her paintings. Her textile collection, wild flora, launches seasonally. She offers artful workshops on Maui + the mainland as well as sustainable dyeing services.
