On January 1, 2019, I set out on my New Year’s resolution to only shop locally for an entire year.
The plan? To replace my aimless wanderings through Target and almost daily treks to Safeway with meaningful shopping trips to Farmer’s Markets and local boutiques. Excitedly, I came up with a hashtag to share my efforts with the whole community and daydreamed about seeing others take the #local365challenge alongside me.
